Two other curated walks– the Huon Pine Walk (an easy 20-minute loop) and the Swinging Bridges Track (about 3 km, crossing suspension bridges over the Huon and Picton Rivers)–let you explore riverbanks, forest giants, and rainforest understorey up close. For thrill-seekers, the Eagle Hang Glider cable-glide offers a rush through treetops and over river vistas, though only when weather allows.
Tahune’s accommodation options run from cosy private cabins (suitable for up to four people) to a lodge with eight rooms that can house about 20 guests, plus camping options. The lodge has communal hub spaces (dining, kitchen, fireplace), free WiFi (in hub), fully supplied linen, and accessible rooms. The visitor centre & café is licensed and serves light meals, seasonal snacks, coffee and local produce; gift shop offers Huon pine souvenirs. Picnic shelters, BBQs and outdoor dining help you linger.
